What does a wedding planner do??

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what a wedding planner (me) does during the wedding day. The photos were taken by Chery Smith of Luna Photography (www.lunaphotography.org.uk) at The Chevin Country Park Hotel, Near Otley, West Yorkshire, in March 2011.

Number 1: Placing Favours at each setting

Number 2: Setting up lanterns and lighting tea-lights.

Number 3: Moving Floral Arrangements

Number 4: Liaising with Hotel Management

Number 5: Searching through my magic bag to find pins...

Number 6: Writing missing placecards

Number 7: Working out where to seat 3 extra guests

Number 8: Finishing Touches

Number 9: Helping guests

Number 10: Discussions with the Bride

So some of the things that I do during the day to make sure the wedding day run smoothly. These could be things that the bride or a family member would be having to do on the day. But with a wedding planner like Love To Marry, the bridal party can just relax and enjoy themselves and not worry about the fact that some distant relatives have turned up unannounced and now need squeezing into the already tight seating arrangement for example.

The wedding planner – not to be considered a luxury -an essential asset to any wedding (venue, tick, dress, tick, cake, tick, rings, tick, stressed out, tick, get wedding planner, tick, and relax, tick….)
